Ammar Al-Salem is the President of Modern Specialty Insurance. He leads the implementation of the company's growth strategy across the Canadian market, with a focus on supporting insurance brokers access a wide array of niche products and specialized services to meet their clients' needs. He has over 20 years of industry experience and has a deep understanding of the property & casualty and group benefits insurance industry with experience on the broker and carrier side of the business. Before becoming MSI's President, Ammar held key senior leadership positions focused on business and cultural transformations while leading high-performance teams with an emphasis on delivering exceptional service to clients and broker partners. Ammar is an avid supporter of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts, and is the Executive Advisor with Play Forever, a non-profit organization delivering structured and accessible recreation, education, and mental health services to youth across the Greater Toronto Area. Passionate about the industry, he enjoys giving back by regularly speaking at College's & Universities and mentoring new graduates to the insurance sector.
